If you are a New Zealand resident intending to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, you need to apply for your visa through an authorised representative for the Consular of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Auckland. Global Student is authorised to process visas and we will be pleased to help you apply for this.

General  Instructions for all applicants

All applicants are required to include the following documents with the visa application:

• Submit fully completed visa application form either typed or neatly written in block letters
• Two recent passport size photos, loosely attached (not stapled) to application form - Photos must be taken against a light background, preferably wear light coloured clothing
• Photos should be approx 3x4cm size, taken against white or light background
• Include passport, which must be valid for at least 6 months from the application date. Passport should have at least 2 pages free, showing the applicants full name and date of birth
• Comply with all instructions applicable to your specific visa type – failure to comply may result in return of application without the visa
• NOTE: All Applicants Should First Have Visa Authorisation From The Saudi
  Ministry Of Foreign Affairs In Saudi, Before Applying For The Visa In New Zealand. This Should Include The Number And Date Of Your Visa Authorisation, Arranged By Your Sponsor In Saudi Arabia
• Visa Fees As Advised

Additional notes for Specific Visa Types

Visit Visa

In addition to above documents please include

• Invitation letter with visa authorisation from Saudi MFAT
• If visiting a relative in Saudi include proof of your relationship to this person such as a birth certificate

Business Visit Visa

Please include the following additional documents if you intend to travel to Saudi Arabia on a Business Visa;

• An original letter of invitation from a Saudi company addressed to the visa and legalisation section of the Consulate of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Auckland.
• Original letter  from your registered Company  or Firm based New Zealand signed and stamped from the Chamber of Commerce. This letter must include reference to: Applicants position in the Company, the purpose of the visit, who bears the cost of travel, the name of the sponsoring Saudi Arabian company and the city being visited. (E.g. Mr ..., a ... of this company will travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to discuss business matters with the company ... in ... (city). Our company will bear the full cost of this visit.)
• Visa application form showing whether single entry visa or multiple entry visa is required, as specified in the letter of invitation.
• Foreign passport holders (i.e not from NZ) must submit an immigration residency permit showing at least two years prior residency.

Temporary Work Visit Visa

• Your visa authorisation issued by the Saudi  Foreign Ministry should be arranged by the sponsor in Saudi Arabia.
• Include a contract for temporary work signed by the sponsoring company and the applicant.
• Include an Original copy of your degree/diploma.
• Include a certificate showing at least 2 years prior work experience in a similar/related field of work.

Transit Visa Requirements

• Applicant should have a confirmed air ticket showing flight details into and out of Saudi Arabia.
• Ladies and children under 16 must be accompanied by a male relative (husband, brother, uncle, ...). A certified copy as a proof of relationship should be attached.
• Visa Fee: There is no Fees for the Transit Visa.

NOTE: A Transit Visa is not required if an applicant verifies that the transit period is not more than 12 hours.

Work/Employment Visa Requirements

• Your visa authorisation issued by the Saudi Foreign Ministry should be arranged by the sponsor in Saudi Arabia.
  If children are included in the applicant’s passport , their name and photograph must be added on the passport by legal authorities.
• If accompanying a sponsor (spouse, parent), originals of proof of relationship to the sponsor (Marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc...)
• Police clearance form - arranged through the Ministry of Justice - (Form signed and sent to Ministry of Justice with a signed copy of your passport or driver licence, do not send original identification. Send this to; The Criminal Records Unit, Ministry of Justice, National Office, POBox 2750, Wellington).

Copy of graduation certificates. All certificates must be signed by three authorities;

1. by the NZ Ministry of Internal Affairs (they will sign certified copies only), then
2. certified by Saudi Cultural Attache (190 Great South Rd, Greenlane, Auckland Tel: 09 9039616 / 9039644), 
3. certified by the Saudi consulate at the time the visa application is being processed.

Original copy of work contract

• For Residency Visa only: applicants over 16 years old should provide a Medical Report Form. A recent passport sized photo must be stapled to the form.

UMRA Visa Requirements

Note that the validity of the Umra visa gives a maximum of one month in which to enter Saudi Arabia. Please note, however, that the Umra season closes on 30 Ramadan, which means you MUST complete Umra and depart Jeddah before this date.
We will inform you of the necessary information required to be forwarded to the Consulate of Saudi Arabia for the purpose of the issue of your Umra visa.  In general, these requirements will include:

• A fully completed visa application form.
• Your passport, valid for at least six months from the date of application, which includes the place of birth and the full name of the applicant ( A single name in the passport is not accepted).
• Provide two recent passport sized photographs attached by paper clip to the application form. Photos should be taken against a white or very light background.
• A confirmed round trip air ticket showing travel into and out of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for each person.
• A letter of Introduction from an Islamic Association.
• Ladies and children must be accompanied by a male relative (Mehram). Certified copies of proof of relationship (marriage or birth certificate, and a Letter from the Islamic Association) must be submitted.
• A certificate of vaccination against Meningitis (Meningicoccal), which must be done at least 10 days prior to entry into Saudi
  Arabia and be valid for three (3) years.
• Non- New Zealand passport holders must submit an immigration residency permit showing at least two years prior residency New Zealand.

Visa Fees

Note: GS visa processing fee refers to our fee for time spent on your visa application and courier within NZ. This includes making sure correct documents are submitted to the Consular of Saudi Arabia in Auckland, inputing your information into the visa processing system, ongoing liaison and collection and despatch of documents.
