The experience I had in New Zealand was definitely amazing. I had the opportunity to choose this country to study English and had a full range of experiences. Living with a local family, learning their customs and communicating in English helped me to feel like a local, and I should mention how affectionate and warm the New Zealand people are.
Working and travelling I was able to meet people from all around the world and seeing different cultures was incredible.
Personally, this experience has left an impression on me and I never stop thinking about how I want to go back one day…

I have really enjoyed my time in New Zealand and was surprised how quickly I adapted to this country. I’ve been studying in a beautiful small city next to the lake, living with a friendly “Kiwi” homestay. I told Waheeb what I was looking for and he organised everything for me so I didn’t need to worry about anything.
Staying in New Zealand, in a country where people are curious to know about my culture has been a very enjoyable experience and now my English is much better also.
Diana Garcia Martinez from Mexico
Your country is very beautiful, different from everything that I have known. So what made me decide to go to NZ? You were the only person who took care of me and answered all my questions. I trusted you. Later I was excited to know a country so far away, NZ is furthest country from Mexico.
When I arrived and I knew you and I was there, it was far better than I expected, and I felt very tranquil and happy. When you live how we do here, always in a hurry, with so much insecurity (my country is first in the world for number of kidnappings) and you arrive at NZ, my daughters and I felt very happy. The bus is safe, the streets are safe and people are super nice. There is no discrimination and all the people are very kind.
I was enchanted with NZ, and would like very much to return. What I can say to you is that NZ people are very different from us, I have never seen so much difference between people in any country, everything for good! Very pleasant everything and thanks for all your help, you made us have a pleasant stay. I believe that the main thing for us to feel so good there was you. We hope to see you soon and I repeat thanks to you for everything that you do to make people feel so at home.
Martin from Peru
I contacted Bridget Egan and her services in 2001 in Lima, Peru. When I met her, immediately I felt she is a very reliable person and finally I had found all I was looking for learning English. Then I travelled to New Zealand to study English, Bridget and her company were always ready to help and assist me when I needed it. I think that my experiences lived in New Zealand will always be saved on my memory.
Mariana from Chile
This is my experience. I came to Auckland without knowing anything about the county, I just had the opportunity and I took it as quickly as possible. This brought me some complications and the day I had to leave Chile I didn’t want to go. I was scared about not knowing anyone, not speaking the language well, etc, but this didn’t matter I still had to take the flight.
When I arrived, I got over all the fear I’d felt. The city seemed really beautiful, very organised and clean, a mix of beach and country side, the people incredibly nice. You walk down the street and they smile and if you have any problem they try to help you.
The university was the best part. The teachers try hard to make their classes dynamic, so that you can understand them and give the necessary attention to each student. They are interested in knowing you. Apart from the teachers there are also your friends which I think is really important. Being in New Zealand I had the opportunity to know people from all over, Thailand, Taiwan, China, Korea, Japan, Brazil, Paraguay, France, Switzerland, Russia and even Chile and Saudi Arabia etc. I think the people you get to know and the moments you spend with them change you.
We all have different ways of seeing things, beliefs, and customs.
To the people that read this I say if you have the opportunity to come, you are open minded and want to experience new things, this is an experience you should try. For me this trip was incredible and I’m happy with the result and the decision I made. Now I have to go back to Chile and the truth is I don’t want to.
